MUMBAI: With city Muslims expressing their displeasure over social networking site Facebook hosting a competition on Prophet Mohammed's images, the state home department has written to Union home secretary G K Pillai seeking a ban on the webpage.A copy of the letter has also been sent to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, a division of the information and technology ministry.
Additional chief secretary (home) Chandra Iyengar said the state had written to the home ministry, urging it to ban the page.
